Construction for THE LOUIS PARTNERSHIP, INC. is directed by Fred Louis, Jr. who began his construction career in 1972 when he joined Ryan Homes, Inc. in Atlanta, Georgia.  Beginning with a framing crew, Fred Louis, Jr. gained valuable experience in the basics of residential construction.  From his framing crew experience, Fred Louis, Jr. moved into a supervisory position, where for several years he directed the construction of as many as 40 homes a year.  In this capacity he gained extensive experience in cost control, scheduling and construction management.  From construction supervisor, Fred moved into a sales position where he gained valuable experience in finance, marketing and advertising.

In 1978 Fred Louis, Jr. returned to Louisville and established a construction company with Robert J. Thieneman under the name of Louis & Associates.  Between 1978 and 1980, Louis & Associates built a number of high quality, single-family homes in eastern Jefferson County.

Since joining THE LOUIS PARTNERSHIP, INC. in1980 Fred Louis, Jr. has directed theconstruction of several hundred high quality, single family homes and townhomes, as well as numerous whole houserenovations and alterations and additionsto older homes. 
 
The other principal of THE LOUIS PARTNERSHIP, INC. is Hunter G. Louis, AICP.  Hunter Louis received a masters degree in Urban Planning from Pratt Institute and has completed graduate courses toward an MBA at Bellarmine University.  Hunter Louis’ previous experience includes seven years as Director of Planning for Miller/Wihry/Lee Inc. and five years directing the business affairs of Louis and Henry, Architects.  His past experience includes direction of a broad range of land use and related feasibility studies, master plans and urban revitalization studies.  Hunter Louis currently oversees new project development, project coordination, and business management for THE LOUIS PARTNERSHIP, INC.

Hunter Louis is a charter member of the American Institute of Certified Planners and a charter member of The American Planning Association.  He is a past President of Trees, Inc. and currently serves as a Trustee of River Fields, Inc., is Chairman of The Memorial Auditorium Commission and Housing Now - Flaget Apartments.  Mr. Louis has served on the Properties Committee and is a past Vestry member of St. Francis in the Fields Episcopal Church.
